About Jennifer Downey

Jennifer Downey is a licensed physician of Oriental Medicine. Since 2002, she's operated her private practice in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She's also President and co-founder of Gainesville Community Acupuncture — a community-style acupuncture clinic that offers low-cost Oriental medical services in a group setting.

Along with her full-time healthcare practice, Jennifer teaches advanced courses in Oriental Medicine at centers all over the United States. She's taught Oriental medical theory to incoming classes at the Florida School of Massage, Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, and the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture. Jennifer has also traveled the United States as a Qigong instructor trainer.

Her goal of Oriental medical practice is to restore your body's systems to good health and to relieve any discomfort. She combines her skills in acupuncture with herbology and nutritional counseling to provide a complete and balanced approach to supporting wellness.
